C/C++ Utility Library

The C/C++ Utility Library is a collection of all freely distributable (Public Domain, freeware, shareware, contribution requested, demo code, etc.) source code, utilities, applications, etc. for PC C/C++ developers. A directory database accompanying the library is a dBASE compatible .DBF file with DOS search program. The database also lists all existing commercial products, for one stop shopping for all existing C/C++ tools. C/C++ Users Journal (Feb'95) review called it a "comprehensive collection" for "one stop shopping".Tom Swan (PC World, May 1991) said he was "impressed with this one's quality" and that "the EMS library is a bargain hunter's dream" . He went on to include extracts from the library to accompany his book, Mastering C++. EMS also buys and sells old/out-of-print/used copies of popular commercial C/C++ compilers and tools. Ordering information.

EMS produces a ZIPed text file listing all known Public Domain and Shareware C/C++ products found on BBSes in the USA, organized by type, with release date and short description can be found as CU21.ZIP.

The following are counts of Public Domain, Shareware and free products in the C/C++ Utility Library.
